How Orthopaedic Manual PT Works
Through Orthopaedic Manuel PT, our team emphasizes the prevention, identification, assessment, minimization, and correction of pain and disability due to acute or prolonged musculoskeletal impairment. This includes post-surgical as well as non-surgical conditions. The goal of treatment is to promote optimal health and function using a variety of interventions to diminish pain, impairments, and disability associated with orthopaedic disorders.
Examples of some commonly used interventions include manual physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, as well as ergonomic intervention, and education. Therapists who are board-certified as Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists by the American Physical Therapy Association are optimally trained and educated to effectively deal with orthopaedic disorders.
