Ellison Melrose, PT, DPT
Dr. Ellison Melrose received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from University of the Pacific in 2017. She is originally from Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport Science and Nutrition from the University of Utah. She began her career in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic in the Central Valley of California. Dr. Melrose has since moved to Colorado where she is happy to be back to her mountain lifestyle and dive into treating Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, musculoskeletal injuries and pediatrics.
Dr. Melrose’s clinical practice focuses on a whole-body approach to the treatment of pelvic floor, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and genetic disorders in children and adults. She utilizes a function based approach to rehabilitation with integration of evidence-based manual therapy, neuromuscular retraining, cognitive-behavioral techniques, pain education and individualized exercise prescription to enable patients to achieve their goals.
Dr. Melrose is passionate about fitness in all patient populations, but particularly in prenatal and postpartum women. Following the birth of her son in July 2019, Dr. Melrose has been excited to educate about the benefits of exercising during pregnancy and postpartum while reducing the stigma associated with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Outside of the clinic, Ellison enjoys spending time with her husband, son and 2 cats exploring the mountains, hiking, camping, climbing and mountain biking.
