Maggie Selzer, PT, DPT
Dr. Selzer earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She completed post-doctoral training to advance her clinical skills, earning the title of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). She has certifications in a variety of manual therapy techniques, including dry needling and spinal manipulation.
Dr. Selzer believes that the first step to successful care starts with listening to the patient and understanding the details of what brings a patient in for therapy. She ensures that each patient receives a thorough, detail-oriented hands on clinical examination. Rather than treating symptoms and hoping for good results, Dr. Selzer aims to better understand the root of the problem in order to build an efficient, effective plan of care. She values partnership with her patients and always strives to work together with the patient, combining their preferences along with her clinical expertise.
She enjoys treating a wide range of conditions, particularly neck pain, headaches, and jaw pain. She takes pride in treating patients who have not had success with physical therapy in the past, making specific efforts to create a better experience to foster improved results.
Outside of work, Dr. Selzer enjoys horseback riding and is currently working towards a certification in Equine Rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee. She enjoys time spent with her husband and dog, especially outside!
