Cameron Aris. LAT, ATC
Cam grew up in rural Wyoming towns before finally settling in Cheyenne, WY with his parents and older sister. When Cam was young he dreamed of saving lives as a combat medic, but his parents didn’t share my excitement for that path! Instead, Cam chose to pursue a degree in athletic training. Cam received his undergraduate degree in athletic training from the University of Northern Colorado in 2016. Since then he has worked in two different orthopedic clinics while providing coverage for high school and club athletics. Currently Cam is entering his final semester to receive his master of occupational therapy. Cam appreciates the mixture of knowledge he has developed over the last year and feels the holistic nature of occupational therapy balances the body structure and function foci of his athletic training background. Cam is obsessed with the philosophical core of occupational therapy and enjoys creating space for people to be autonomous and active recipients of care. Upon graduating Cam is interested in pursuing a specialty certification in hand therapy or vestibular therapy would like to incorporate his knowledge and experience with concussion and mild TBI into his practice.
When he is not working Cam can be found reading or exercising- he is a philosophy nerd and just started reading works by Ludwig Wittgenstein. He also likes to unwind by hiking, camping, playing chess (Buffalo Ridge Elementary School 5th grade chess club champion), or finding another plant-based recipe to master.
