Alexa Tovsen, PT, DPT
Alexa received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado in 2018. Prior to PT school, she competed as a collegiate hurdler at the University of Missouri while receiving her Bachelor of Health Sciences. Alexa enjoys evaluating and treating both, kids with neurodevelopmental and musculoskeletal disorders as well as young athletes hoping to return to a higher level of performance after an injury. She strives to create meaningful relationships with the individuals she works with along with their families as she understands the importance of a family approach to therapy. She is passionate about improving her patients’ overall function as well as reduce their risk for future injuries in their sports. She is certified in trigger point dry needling and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including both the pediatric and sports sections of the APTA.
Alexa’s hobbies include spending time with her four fur babies, hiking, running, CrossFit, arts and crafts, and cheering on her Green Bay Packers.
