  • After feeling like my workspace was not the right fit for me, I had an ergonomic evaluation with Dona. From the moment she arrived she noticed things and made small changes that immediately made a difference in my workspace. However the best changes came when I took her final recommendations and had my work space modified to the specifications we discussed. I am on day two of using my “new” workspace and I am over the moon happy.

    Thanks again for everything!

  • Over the years I have received much more poor or useless treatment than good from some of the most qualified people in healthcare, and have become a very “thoughtful” patient. At colpts I was fortunate to be the client of both Amy and John before and after shoulder surgery, and my son spent a visit with Amy for both acute and chronic ankle injury. Amy’s ability to explore, diagnose, and positively isolate all the issues through progressive examination and testing is excellent. John filled in for some visits without missing a single observation or conclusion. They worked with deliberate intent until they filled in the picture, and took nothing for granted visit to visit. No guessing or “formula” here, and not a minute wasted. The office staff was great to work with too. This place seems to have been built with a mission in mind to focus on each person uniquely, and it worked for us.

  • I was referred to Colorado Physical Therapy Specialists and saw John. He was very helpful in easing the pain in my shoulder and gave me exercises to do at home in short increments of time that would fit into my schedule, but would still accomplish the goal. He will listen to any concerns, is very kind, waits until you are finished speaking before he speaks to make sure you have said what you wanted to say. He will ask questions for clarification. The care that John demonstrates is superb. He does not make you feel rushed, but stays on schedule. I found the entire staff very caring, knowledgeable, kind and informative. They all care about the client and their well-being and health. I’m glad I was referred to this facility.

  • I worked with John Zapanta this fall for joint pain and had terrific results. I was often amazed with the progress made. John’s personality, talent and enthusiasm regarding my recovery made the process more enjoyable than I would have thought possible. I was impressed that he often would follow up with an e-mail with photos of suggested exercises, along with words of encouragement. As I regained my strength and flexibility, John was always thinking of options to keep me interested as well as improving. The office itself is appealing and bright and Ashley at the front desk always greeted me with a big smile. I feel very fortunate to have been referred here.

  • Terry is phenomenal. I’m a runner that has been working on a variety of issues for quite a while and I very recently saw Terry. I’ve had chronic Plantar Fasciitis and Terry has gotten it taken care of. His use of ASTYM has been great and my return to running has been much faster than I thought it would be. I highly recommend him.

  • Through a combination of dry needling and exercises, Terry had my lower back pain gone within a few weeks. His approach to care is great — educate the patient, give ’em the necessary tools, and the healing happens.

  • I was in a horrible car accident and had tried many specialized treatments for pain and pain management for more than a year before it was suggested (by a foot doctor) to have Physical Therapy at Colpts. Three months ago I started working with David at the College/Harmony facility. What a difference he has made in many of my painful areas! His suggestion to try dry needling for my neck & shoulder areas has made a tremendous improvement. All of the stretching exercises at home as well as the hands on stretching & massage at appointments enables me to begin doing several activities I have had to give up since my accident. David’s positive attitude and professional advice keep me moving and feeling better after each appointment. The whole facility has a very friendly and clean environment so a patient immediately feels at ease when entering. Thanks to all of you!

  • Tim has been helping me deal with various running and cycling injuries for a couple of years. They have included hip, back, calf, and knee issues. The at-home exercises he recommended helped so much, and I am now running and cycling pain free. He also recommended a specific strength training program. I am so grateful for his help.

  • From the very first treatment with Tim I knew I was on the road to recovery. A combination of dry needling, manipulation, home exercises relieved my chronic leg pain caused by a herniated disk. I was in severe pain and limited mobility for more than 3 years. I’ve had 4 treatments and I’m back on my bike. Tim cares and he knows how to get you back into life.

  • I was referred to ColPTs for some calf and Achilles issues a few months after a bad strain. I had the pleasure of working with Derek Haverley to resolve it. Derek took time explaining to me how dry needling could help the situation, and he took time to explain what to expect during and after the sessions. In short, the results were amazing. It took about 4-5 sessions of dry needling to achieve pain free running that I had been hoping for months previous to this. I had some additional dry needling by Derek on my other calf due to some muscle tightness and pain I experienced right before a half marathon, and again, the results were quick and amazing. Derek is fantastic to work with! He is very professional, personable and skilled. Without him, I simply would not have achieved important personal fitness goals I had this year!

  • Our son was 9+ weeks premature and required physical therapy to help with his gross motor skills. Jessica Albers was our therapist and she was wonderful. She gave us the tools to help our son develop and he is now a very active little two year old. We would recommend Jessica to any parents with a child that needs help.

  • I came to Colorado Physical Therapy Specialists after suffering successively greater and greater pain in both hips. I have to admit I was skeptical of the likelihood that dry needle therapy would work, having never had any needle therapy of any kind (and being “needle-averse” as well). My PT was Derek Haverley. He explained how trigger point dry needle therapy worked and treated several different muscles in both hips – just once. He then gave me a number of different exercises to do at home and followed up with several sessions of deep tissue work. THIS STUFF WORKS! I went from basically giving up tennis and walking when I play golf back to where I was before this pain began. I am grateful to Derek and highly recommend this treatment if you have chronic muscle pain.

  • Jessica Albers was my daughter’s physical therapist for most of the last year. My daughter was born with low muscle tone and therefor was delayed in gross motor skills. She is now caught up thanks to Jessica! We were going to another physical therapist but switched to Jessica and were much happier with Jessica’s skills. She is great at thinking of a variety of ways to motivate even a small baby to move in order to gain muscle strength. If you need a children’s physical therapist for a child or baby I would HIGHLY recommend Jessica. She is a amazing!

  • I recently had an acute knee injury as a result of an improper bike fit (on a commuter bike of all things). Parts of the medial areas of my knee bruised, in fact, after only about 15 miles of riding. I could barely walk after just two days of riding the bike. I waited two weeks to get medical attention, and thought to start with a PT first. I chose CPTS as they were listed on my health insurance’s website. My PT was Derek, and he was excellent. He was very knowledgable and really tried to understand my injury and my need to continue my endurance training as a runner and cyclist. He suggested dry needle therapy, explaining that the procedure stimulates healing in the affected area. I agreed and he completed the procedure within a few minutes. While it was not comfortable, I walked away from the appointment already feeling better. He prescribed me a set of strengthening exercises and said I should run no more than an hour a day. He explained that continuing normal activities was important in the healing process and helped the injury heal in such a way that supported normal movement. I was running normally after week, with the injury 100 healed. I highly recommend CPTS.

  • I am 100% cured. No more numbness in my fingers. I don’t even need to wear my brace at night anymore. Your recommended equipment and posture changes did the trick. Thanks so much!

  • Sue Flynn has worked with our disabled daughter for six years, and she has made incredible progress. She just started walking on a treadmill for the first time! Our daughter isn’t the easiest person to work with, given her disability and dislike of stretching and exercise, but Sue has a wonderful manner, and she’s the only one our daughter doesn’t holler at! I’m always in awe of her knowledge and expertise, and her interaction with kids (and adults). I can only hope Sue never decides to retire! (Jessica fills in when Sue is gone, and she is very patient and kind with our daughter’s uncooperativeness!)

  • My son has been lucky to work with Jessica for about 2 years now. She is so patient and creative in helping him gain independence. He has accomplished so much with her help, including the ability to go up and down stairs on his own! She continues to encourage him and help him gain self confidence, she is making a very big difference in his quality of life. Thank you Jessica!

  • Prior to finding Dr. Tim Flynn I had been to four different doctors, two surgeons, two family practice doctors; my diagnosis was clear – I had spondololythesis, a congenital spinal cord slippage at L5 and S1. I had been in tremendous pain for three months. I had an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Both surgeons told me the same thing – I needed spinal fusion surgery – which I should schedule soon. I tried a cortisone shot (most painful thing ever!) and got my family ready for helping me recover from this serious surgery. I was pretty sad, figuring that I might never snowboard or climb another 14er with my kids. I couldn’t believe it. I’m only 56. Then, my wife went on line and found Dr. Flynn – who started me on a slow regiment of exercise, and his dry needling technique – twice a week. Well, rather than keep this story going – I just have to say that Tim Flynn is a miracle worker! I am now walking five miles every day; hiking 5 – 10 every weekend; and my body is feeling better than it has in years. Take that – surgeons! Dr. Flynn discussed the research on how many unnecessary spinal fusion surgeries occur here in northern Colorado – and while he didn’t promise me anything – he was confident, not cocky, well informed and personable. Before anyone decides to have spinal fusion surgery – GO SEE DR. FLYNN. He’s awesome, as is his staff, and his interns – who are learning from the best. Thanks, Tim, I owe you more than this cheesy review – that’s for sure!

  • Our son has been working with Jessica Albers for a year, and she has done a fantastic job. Our 4 year old son has severe developmental disabilities, and Jessica has worked hard to build a wonderful relationship with him. As a result, he loves to work with her, and works hard for her even when it is challenging for him. His gross motor skills have improved beautifully since he began working with her. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I am so grateful that there are caring and talented professionals like Jessica who are dedicated to improving the lives of our children.

  • I transferred here from the Children’s Hospital Physical Therapy branch in Parker. Although this facility is smaller, it is clean and well equipped. I see Derek for ACL reconstruction. The employees here seem to genuinely care; I received a birthday card from them, and I had only been here a couple weeks! Also, in addition to being kind and caring, the staff is very kwoledgeable; they have been able to answer any question that I could come up with, and referred me to even more helpful resources when they weren’t 100% sure themselves. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a friendly, caring, and knowedgeable environment. Two thumbs up.

  • I have been seeing David Vanas for several weeks due to an Achilles tendon strain on both feet. David is professional, friendly and his work on my ankles has made a world of difference in my life! I used to hobble around in severe pain, which limited my exercise and jogging routines. Now, I’m doing much better and have gotten back to Zumba. My only regret is that I didn’t start doing PT sooner! The at-home exercises are easy to work into my schedule and have helped me gain better muscle control in my legs and ankles. Thank you to David and the rest of the friendly staff at Colorado Physical Therapy Specialists.

  • Jessica Albers has been working with our 18 month-old for the past 8 months. Her caring and friendly demeanor along with her knowledgeable practices are what make her a wonderful pediatric physical therapist. She has helped our son to reach all of his goals while elevating his confidence and enthusiasm. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for PT services!

  • Terry and his staff do a great job! They are extremely knowledgable, and provided me with great guidance to get back on track after an athletic injury/undergoing surgery. I was always greeted with a smile, and treated with respect by all members of his staff. I would highly recommend Colorado Physical Therapy Specialists to anyone in the market for a PT.

  • For running issues, I don’t trust anyone other than Terry. I’ve been running ultra marathons for about 3 years now and it’s very reassuring to work with a fellow ultra runner. Terry won’t ever question my running goals and has been able to treat my injuries quickly and has given me the additional advice and instruction to help me continue to improve and prevent future problems. The first time I saw Terry, I was unable to walk from serious tendonitis in my shin. I had tried the usual self treatment of resting and icing but the problem only continued to get worse any time I tried to start running again. Just a few days after my first appointment with Terry, I was running again. And within 6 weeks, I ran 65 miles at a 24 hour event. Now I won’t hesitate to set up an appointment at the first sign of a problem.

  • My 4 year old son has been working with Sue Flynn since he was 2 and a half. I have seen such tremendous growth in his physical abilities since he started PT. Sue is so patient and kind and has a real gift working with special needs children. She always has new ideas to keep him interested. We also do hippotherapy with Sue and I cannot say enough about what a difference that has made for my son. The clinic is fantastic, too, and everyone we have encountered has been very helpful and encouraging.

  • I’ve been working with Tim for 6 months and I have to say that I haven’t felt this good in years. I’ve had periodic leg, back and neck pain for almost two decades. When these issues flared up last Spring I got in to see Tim, and he Tim developed an effective therapeutic stretching program for me, which he combines with trigger point therapy, massage and other osteopathic techniques. He has also used trigger-point therapy to greatly reduce esophagial spasms that my gastro-enterologist was unable to treat effectively. Tim’s treatment skills are exceptional, but I think his skills at diagnosis may be the best I’ve ever encountered in a medical professional. The pain is under control and I feel great. BTW, COLPTS has a first-rate business office that really has its act together. I can’t say enough good things about working with them!

  • I had plantar fasciitis for a few months that crippled my running and walking for that matter. I worked with Terry for three weeks and am back to running without limping afterwards. Terry used the ASTYM treatment and I found it to be very effective. Terry is most knowledgeable about running injuries being a runner himself and knows how to manage any pain that does come your way. I wish I had visited Terry at the onset of my problem and would not have missed a summer of running! Colorado PT is a first class operation that I would recommend to all my running friends.

  • As an athlete himself, Terry understands the problems affecting runners & cyclists; over the past 2 years, I’ve yet to have a problem he wasn’t able to diagnose and correct. I’ve been very pleased with the level of care I’ve received, his scheduling is flexible, and the facility is fantastic.

  • Terry has been helping me with chronic tendonitis in my knees and heels. Both had gotten sufficiently bad that I had not been able to bike this whole summer, and visits to physicians had not helped at all. After a couple of months of treatment by Terry, the pain is completely gone and I’m even starting to run again, which I gave up 20 years ago for the same reason (this sounds like a made-for-TV-movie, but in this case it’s true!).

  • Derek did a great job helping me with my neck and shoulder issues that where so bad I could not turn my head to look back while riding my motorcycle. I also mentioned to him some issues with my foot and he is now working with me on this issue and it is much better after only 2 visits! Thanks so much for the help with my pain issues Derek!
